The Income Tax Overseas Unit (ITOU), High Commission of India, London, partnered with the ICAI London (UK) Chapter to host an in-person session as part of the PRARAMBH 2026 initiative on creating awareness about the Income-tax Act, 2025 on 3 July 2026 at the High Commission of India, London. The event, attended by members of the ICAI London (UK) Chapter, offered participants insights into the changes in the Income-tax Act, 2025, which supersedes the six-decade-old Income-tax Act, 1961. Addressing the gathering, Dr. Vijit Patel, First Secretary, ITOU, High Commission of India, London explained the vision behind the new legislation, highlighting how its provisions aim to make the law simpler, more consolidated, and easier to interpret. The session also touched upon developments of particular interest to the Indian diaspora and cross-border taxpayers, as well as recent trends shaping tax jurisprudence.
