As part of the nationwide PRARAMBH 2026 outreach initiative, the Directorate of Income Tax (Intelligence & Criminal Investigation), New Delhi organised an awareness programme at the Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd. (IRFC), New Delhi, on 29 June 2026 under the guidance of Sh Debjyoti Das, Pr. Director General of Income Tax (I&CI), Delhi. Shri Arun Kumar Singh, Income Tax Officer (I&CI)-05, Delhi, delivered the welcome address and made a comprehensive presentation on the Income-tax Act, 2025, the Income-tax Rules, 2026, and Statement of Financial Transactions (SFT) compliance by reporting entities. In the session key legislative changes, simplified taxpayer-centric provisions, revised reporting forms, including those relating to Virtual Digital Assets (VDAs), and statutory reporting obligations were explained. The programme was attended by Shri N. H. Kannan, Chief General Manager (Finance), Shri Jai Dev Panwar, General Manager (Finance), Shri Aman Raj, Deputy Manager (Finance), and other IRFC officials. The interactive session reinforced the Department’s commitment to taxpayer awareness and voluntary compliance.
