A Capacity Building Programme on the provisions of the Income-tax Act, 2025 was organised on 25th June 2026 at the ARA Centre, Jhandewalan, New Delhi, under the guidance of Smt. Surabhi Ahluwalia, CCIT (Central)-2, Delhi, and Shri Sameer Kumar Srivastava, PCIT (Central)-3, Delhi. Conducted as part of the third phase of the Department’s nationwide capacity-building initiative, the programme equipped officers with comprehensive insights into the Act’s key provisions, compliance requirements and implementation framework. Sessions were led by Shri Anirudh Saran Singh, Addl. CIT, assisted by Shri Wageesh Shrotriya, DCIT. Addressing the participants, CCIT (Central)-2, Delhi, highlighted that the new Act seeks to simplify tax administration, reduce complexity and enhance taxpayer confidence, while urging officers to embrace the transition with professionalism and reinforce a more efficient, transparent and taxpayer-centric tax administration.
