As part of the nationwide PRARAMBH 2026 campaign, the O/o Directorate of Income Tax (Intelligence & Criminal Investigations)-2, New Delhi organized an Outreach Programme on 10.06.2026 for representatives of NTPC Ltd. and NTPC Green under the guidance of the Pr. Director General of Income Tax (I&CI), Delhi. The programme featured presentations on the New Income Tax Act, 2025, Income Tax Rules, 2026, and Statement of Financial Transactions (SFT) compliance. A dedicated “KAR SATHI” kiosk showcased AI-enabled taxpayer assistance tools available on the Income Tax portal through live demonstrations. Sh. Bhagwati Charan, IRS, Addl. Director of Income Tax, highlighted key reforms aimed at simplification, ease of compliance, and taxpayer awareness. Sh. Sunil Kumar Gaur, ITO, explained digital taxpayer services, educational resources, recent changes in prescribed forms, and SFT filing obligations. The interactive session witnessed enthusiastic participation, with officers addressing several queries from attendees, making the programme a resounding success.
