Under the esteemed guidance of the Pr. Director General of Income Tax (I&CI), Delhi, DIT (I&CI)-2, New Delhi organised an outreach programme on 15.05.2026 under the nationwide awareness initiative ‘PRARAMBH 2026’. The programme witnessed active participation from representatives of Natiotive Banks and IPPB, with a focus on sensitising Reporting Entities regarding the New Income Tax Act, 2025 and Income Tax Rules, 2026. A dedicated ‘KAR SATHI’ kiosk was established to provide participants with an immersive experience of AI-enabled taxpayer assistance tools available on the Income Tax portal. Live demonstrations highlighted digital initiatives such as Kar Setu, FAQs, guidance notes, Samvaad sessions, Madhukar and chatbot-based assistance for seamless compliance management. Officers also elaborated upon significant amendments in Forms 97, 98, 165, 166 and the newly introduced Form 167 relating to VDAs. The programme received an enthusiastic response, reflecting the Department’s continued commitment towards taxpayer awareness, transparency, digital facilitation and strengthened compliance under the new tax regime effective from 01.04.2026.
