An Outreach Programme on the Income-tax Act, 2025 & Income-tax Rules, 2026 was successfully organised under the leadership of Smt. Surabhi Ahluwalia, CCIT (Central)-2, Delhi & Shri Sameer Kumar Srivastava, PCIT (Central)-3, Delhi, by the Central Range-8, New Delhi on 06.05.2026 at ARA Centre, New Delhi. The programme featured: 🔹 Presentation on key simplification measures & taxpayer-friendly reforms 🔹 Live demonstration of AI-powered 'Kar Saathi' chatbot & digital facilitation tools 🔹 Overview of CBDT initiatives — Kar Setu, MadhuKar magazine & digital assistance resources An interactive Q&A session addressed stakeholder queries and invited suggestions for further improving taxpayer outreach.Stakeholders greatly appreciated the Department's proactive efforts in ensuring a smooth transition to the new simplified Income Tax Act and tax regime. The programme was facilitated by Shri Anirudh Singh, Addl. CIT, Shri Wageesh Shrotriya, DCIT and Shri Shrey Shashank, DCIT.
